Visiting Oklahoma Contemporary is a must-do for anyone looking to dive into the vibrant arts scene of OKC.

This free museum offers a dynamic array of contemporary art exhibitions. (List of current exhibitions.)

But the experience doesn’t stop there. Oklahoma Contemporary also offers a variety of art classes designed for all skill levels. Whether you’re an aspiring artist or just looking to try something new, signing up for one of their classes is a fantastic way to unleash your creativity and connect with a community of fellow art enthusiasts. Fireworks at the Flagpole

Bring your lawn chairs and join us from 7-11 PM on Wednesday, July 3, for a FREE and fantastic night of music leading up to the Red, White, & Boom Fireworks display after sunset at the Bricktown Fireworks at the Flagpole.

(Located between Oklahoma Ave & S EK Gaylord Blvd, directly west of Oklahoma Craft Nano Brewhouse .)

Don’t miss performances by Mallory Eagle, Kyle Earhart, Cindy Scarberry, Dustin Jones, Oklahoma Opry Band, and special guests!

Food & Drink available at Oklahoma Craft & throughout the Bricktown district.

Showboat Concert Series

Every Thursday from April through June is Art Afloat OKC’s Showboat Concert Series on the Bricktown Water Taxi.

Experience the magic of live music as you cruise through Bricktown’s iconic canal.

Cruises are 50 minutes long and run at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM.

Edith Head: Hollywood’s Costume Designer Exhibit at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art

The much-anticipated Edith Head: Hollywood’s Costume Designer exhibit opens June 22 at The Oklahoma City Museum of Art.

Explore the incomparable career of eight-time Oscar-winning costume designer, Edith Head before it leaves on September 29, 2024. This coveted exhibit includes design sketches, 70 original costumes, screening areas, and a synopsis of her life and career milestones.

Plus, don’t miss the “Edith Head Film Series” premiering at the Noble Theatre which will feature some of the costumes in the exhibit.

Myriad Garden’s Summer Activities

Myriad Gardens has a plethora of must-experience activities. Let’s take a look at what the Summer 2024 season will have:

Spark Summer Movie Series – Every Wednesday from May 22 to June 26. Food trucks open at 7PM, activities start at 8PM, and the movie begins at 9:15PM.

Sunday Twilight Concert Series by Arts Council ok OKC – Grab your blankets, and lawn chairs, and pack a picnic for a memorable evening listening to music under the stars. 
Upcoming free concerts: 6/30. 7/14, 7/28

Full Moon Bike RidesEvery full moon enjoy a fun 6-8 mile ride, perfect for all ages. 
Upcoming rides:
• June 21 @ 8:45pm
• July 21 @ 8:45pm
• August 19 @ 8:15pm
• September 17 @ 7:30pm
• October 17 @ 7pm

Full Moon Sound Baths – Hosted in the Water Plaza Room at Myriad Gardens every full moon there will be a free relaxing sound bath and meditation.
Upcoming sound baths: 7/21, 8/19, 9/17, 10/17, and 11/15.

Scissortail Park’s Summer Activities

OKC Pride Fest/Parade – June 28-30 The Oklahoma Pride Alliance will be hosting its annual Pride festival and parade. The festivities start at noon and continue until 6 PM.

OKC Phil’s Red, White & Boom – July 3 at 8:30 PM Scissortail Park will be hosting a FREE OKCPHIL concert to celebrate the 4th of July. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and the whole family to enjoy a lovely evening outside with beautiful, inspiring music, followed by fireworks!

Farmer’s Market – Every Saturday from April through October from 9 AM to 1 PM and every Wednesday from May through September from 6 to 9 PM experience the freshest produce and locally grown and crafted goods to our community.

Dean A McGee Awards

The Dean A. McGee Awards will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Omni Hotel.

The awards benefit Downtown Oklahoma City Initiatives, which funds public art and other downtown improvement projects.

Make Ready Market is a quarterly market in Midtown, OKC featuring local makers & vintage curators.

Oklahoma Hall of Fame

Summer Thursdays – Enjoy FREE admission and summertime activities every Thursday in June and July. Each Thursday is themed around a different Oklahoma Hall of Fame Member featuring fun crafts, games, and art activities. Storytime is held every hour from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Second OHOF Saturdays –  Second OHOF Saturdays features an Oklahoma Hall of Fame member through crafts and activities. A sensory-friendly experience is provided from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Lights will be lowered and music will be played softly.

2024 OVAC Members Show This exhibit opens June 22 and will be here until September 14. It features a stunning array of 2D and 3D works showcasing the vibrant artistic community of our great state.

Fourth Fridays

Join West Village every Fourth Friday of the month from 6 to 10 PM for an evening of live music, sidewalk activities, and pop-up markets, and discover what makes this up-and-coming district a place you want to be!

Businesses along Film Row will be rolling out the red carpet offering entertainment, elevated experiences, menu specials, and more!
