Due to the spread of COVID-19, and the community’s safety being our number one concern, we have decided to postpone the spring edition of Midtown Walkabout which was scheduled for Saturday, April 18th. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will reschedule the event for a later date if possible.
We hope you will continue to support your Midtown businesses while taking the recommended precautions and we look forward to seeing you at the fall Midtown Walkabout on October 17th! We’ll be sharing ways to continue to support local businesses during these trying times.
Get your walkin’ shoes ready! The 9th Midtown Walkabout will take place on Saturday, April 18th from 2pm to 6pm and will feature spring flowers, fun vibes and good times for all. Midtown merchants will be providing specials, discounts, in-store activities, and giveaways during the event. There will also be free programming to enjoy throughout the district such as face painting, live art, kids’ crafts, a photo booth and more.
Midtown is growing exponentially due to new businesses, reinvestment by anchor tenants, revitalization of historic buildings, and a renewed interest in building a strong and diverse local community. Come see what’s new in Midtown.
Midtown Walkabout is hosted by the Midtown Association and Downtown OKC Partnership and is always free and open to attend. #MidtownWalkabout
Attendees can pick up an event map with locations of programming and business specials day of at any of the participating businesses.
Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership (DOKC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create and champion a vibrant and diverse downtown through placemaking, advocacy and promotion. DOKC also manages and maintains the downtown Business Improvement District (BID) and fosters an environment of creativity and culture through public art and activation via Downtown OKC Initiatives. The BID delivers street-level amenities, such as street cleaning, landscaping and trash pickup, produces events, and provides additional services such as marketing, branding and programming.
