Bricktown Tree Lighting Festival
November 24, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeOne of the year’s most anticipated annual events, the Bricktown Tree Lighting Festival presented by SONIC, will take place the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event serves as the kickoff to the holiday season, as Mayor Mick Cornett lights the Christmas Tree with Santa Claus. The first Tree Lighting Festival took place in 2002, and has since grown to include a live band, food trucks, face painting, and visits with Santa. The festival will be held on the 3rd Base Plaza at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark (2 S. Mickey Mantle Dr.), and is free and open to the public.
This year’s performers will include local musicians, Adam and Kizzie, and a special performance from the cast of “A Christmas Carol” by Lyric Theatre. Junction Coffee and Hijos Taqueria will be set up for attendees to purchase food and coffee during the event and Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse will be giving away complimentary holiday treats.
The Bricktown Tree Lighting Festival presented by SONIC is free and open to the public. For more information and a list of events happening during Downtown in December, visit www.DowntownInDecember.com.
