This class gives the student enough time to shape 1-2 gemstones into a polished cabochon then bezel set 1 into a sterling silver ring, pendant or wrist cuff. Students will select from a variety of slabs or bring their own slab to start grinding on a high quality cabbing machine. Students will learn how to safely operate the equipment with guidance from Clinton, the lapidary instructor. After 3 initial hours of lapidary work, students will move on to 3 final hours of metalsmithing with Taylor.
