Author Meet & Greet: Alexandra Ott

Alexandra Ott, author of Rules for Thieves and Seekers of the Wild Realm duologies, has just released a new book called The Wish Ring Cipher, the first in a new trilogy. We read it and loved it, and have invited Alexandra, who lives in Tulsa, to join us at Commonplace in the hopes that some of you can meet her and experience this book for yourselves and your families. Nate, one of the popular kids, takes notice of the new girl’s ability to decipher codes and invites her into the puzzle club, in the hopes that she can help figure out the infamous Wish Ring Cypher, which is rumored to grant wishes. Will Emma be able to help, and if so will the end goal be without moral dilemma? Kids with their own set of neurodivergent circumstances will feel seen in the pages of this book, and we see it as an important story normalizing specific insecurities and coping mechanisms for every reader.
