DESCRIPTION:Origin: Festival of Joy\, also known as Ratha Yatra\nis the oldest street festival in the world\,\noriginating from the Indian costal town of\nJagannatha Puri\, India.\nSignificance: Festival of Joy is the world’s oldest\nstreet festival\, celebrating a 5\,000-year-old\ntradition from India. It honors Lord Krishna\, also\nknown as Jagannath\, the Lord of the Universe.\nAfter years away in battle\, His family longed for\nHis return and brought Him back home to\nVrindavan by pulling His chariot with ropes.\nThis festival re-enacts that joyful reunion.\nEveryone is welcome to join in pulling the\nchariot\, with vibrant singing and dancing leading\nthe way.
