The Memorial will welcome U.S. Secretary of the Interior\, Deb Haaland\, with “Remarks for the Nation.” Caitlin Durkovich\, Deputy Homeland Security Advisor\, National Security Council\, will deliver “Lessons Learned Here by Working Together.” \nGovernor Kevin Stitt will provide “Remarks for the State” and OKC Mayor David Holt\, “Remarks from the City.” The Memorial Museum is free on April 19\, thanks to Cox Community Day.

This year’s Festival will have performances on the Main Stage presented by MidFirst Bank and Inasmuch Foundation in the center of Bicentennial Park\, on the City Stage just east of City Hall\, inside the Oklahoma City Museum of Art\, and scattered throughout Festival grounds. A wide variety of genres will be featured\, such as rock bands\, dance groups\, classical ensembles\, R&B singers\, and a combined performance by the Oklahoma City Ballet and Oklahoma City Philharmonic on Saturday at 8 p.m. International Food Row will offer an incredible selection from 32 food vendors\, 9 of which are new to Festival. SUMMARY:24th Annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is about more than running — it’s about celebrating life. That’s the spirit in which the Memorial Marathon was conceptualized by two Oklahoma businessmen who\, while on a morning run\, created the outline for this inspiring event. The inaugural race kicked off with just shy of 5\,000 participants and has grown to host more than 25\,000 runners and walkers from every state and several countries. It’s been named as one of the “must-run marathons” by Runner’s World magazine. It’s also an official Boston qualifying race. \nThe Run to Remember brings together runners and spectators from around the world to honor those who were killed\, those who survived and those changed forever in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. Each race begins with 168 seconds of silence in honor of those who were killed. Along the course\, runners pass by 168 banners\, each representing the name of one of the bombing victims. \nSix events take place throughout race weekend: Marathon\, Half Marathon\, 5K\, 5-Person Relay Kids Marathon\, and Senior Marathon. Participants in the Kids Marathon run 25 miles leading up to the weekend\, then finish out the last 1.2 miles on race day. \nThe Health & Fitness Expo kicks off race weekend festivities. It opens on Friday for packet pick-up and runs through Saturday. The Expo is open to all and features dozens of vendors with the latest in running gear and apparel. \nThe Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is the sole beneficiary of Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon event proceeds. The Memorial and Museum receive no annual funding from local\, state or federal government\, so this event — the Memorial’s largest fundraiser — is critical for the mission to continue.

Whether you’re curious about the creative process or eager to embark on your own theatrical journey\, this event promises to ignite your passion and fuel your ambition. \nTHE PANELISTS:\nJenny Brand (she/her) has been organizing theater since the age of 16 when she lived in the Netherlands. Since graduating from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London\, Jenny has worked extensively in both the UK and US\, including the National Youth Music Theatre (UK)\, European Union Youth Orchestra (UK)\, Children’s Theatre Company (MN)\, Twin Cities Horror Festival (MN)\, Revolutions International Theatre Festival (NM)\, and the California International Theatre Festival as their executive producer. She successfully produced a multi-state tour of French theater company Cie Macadâmes to rave reviews and sold-out audiences. Locally\, she works with OKC Rep as their Associate Producer\, and is the Executive Director of Theatre Crude\, Oklahoma’s own fringe festival\nAshley J. Mandanas is an Oklahoman\, non-binary\, consent-forward performer. They’ve acted/sung/danced professionally on stage and screen for over two decades. Theatre Crude has remained a creative home for them since its inaugural year\, 2019\, and they are endlessly grateful to Jenny and Adam for fostering an environment of love\, growth\, and creation. Ashley is set alight by new works and devising processes\, and has collaboratively devised specifically for Theatre Crude in the past and in the present. A graduate of OU (with a BFA in Musical Theatre)\, Ashley is a proud fixture of the Oklahoma theatre community\, and is not going anywhere else any time soon. \nWHAT IS FRINGE?\nFringe is a national and international phenomenon\, with festivals happening in every major city across the globe. Fringe performances are one hour or less\, low-tech\, and high on ingenuity. No restrictions are made as to the nature\, style\, theme\, or content. All performers are welcome\, regardless of professional or amateur status.
